Aries is the time of new beginnings. Arians are frank, direct, candid, adventurous, ambitious, impulsive, enthusiastic, and full of energy: open to new ideas and lovers of freedom. Persons born under this sign are not meant to work under anybody else for they are the leaders or trailblazers in life. Success, when it comes to Aries, will arouse the admiration of all those about them, for it will represent no ordinary achievement. On the other hand, they will have to learn a great deal about self-control in order to achieve everything they set out to accomplish as they love a challenge but do not always have the determination or perseverance to follow things through to completion. They do not make good followers because they are a “take charge” type of person and lack patience. Aries are much concerned with self, both in the positive and negative aspects. Probably the hardest thing for Arians to learn is to take advice without becoming angry and resentful. Arians have a hard time with happiness even though they are enthusiastic, have a gift for fun, and are generous with friends. They do not know what they want, have a hard time expressing their feelings and often lack self-confidence. They need to guard against negative feelings such as resentment, regret, self-pity, self-criticism, and irritation. Arians need to learn the difference between what can and cannot be changed. People born on the Pisces/Aries cusp of March 19 through 24 have a great deal of conflict and flux in their life due to the nature of being both the dreamer and doer. They have a direct approach to life, are outspoken, and resent being analyzed. These Arians are often admired yet misunderstood; owing to their passive and aggressive characteristics. They see nothing wrong with themselves and are not willing to change their attitude or lifestyle for anyone. They find that through insistence they often get their own way. The Piscean sensitivity and deep emotions combines with the Aries’ fiery action and willfulness, which will lead to a lack of earth stability and mental objectivity. Success does come to these Arians when they reach an objectivity about who they are and what they do. Aries people born between March 25 and April 2 need independence and affection. They want to share all of life’s treasures with someone special. They have a child-like quality and are open, frank, and energetic. They exhibit spontaneity and liveliness, are sensitive to criticism, and have a need for direct expression. They don’t like confrontations and if felt misunderstood or attacked, they will withdraw into themselves and brood. They find day-to-day mundane situations and people difficult to handle though they enjoy social activities. These Arians are stubborn in their beliefs, have an idealism that doesn’t allow compromise, are inflexible but also have a freshness and charm that attracts friends. They have a tremendous desire to lead but it doesn’t mean they have to be President or a world leader as they may be too insensitive or lack toughness for handling conflicts. They will work and function nicely as a member of a team but only for so long before frustration sets in. These Arians are quick to anger due to bottling up urges and emotions. They neglect themselves and don’t ask for help when they need it. Arians with birthdays between April 3 and April 10 are success oriented. They want to attract attention to themselves and their talents. They have strength and fortitude to develop projects as well as accomplish them. They attract a following and accept the devotion of others easily. They can put aside their own personalities in order to follow their dreams but they need to guard against egotism. These Arians have a hard time expressing feelings and emotions and often appear aloof to others. They need an insightful mate, close friend or trusted advisor who can understand them and their role in life and help them deal with reality. These Arians tend to lose sight of the connection between themselves and others as well as with the world around them. They need to look inside themselves, get to know the person they are and make any necessary changes to grow and shine. If born between April 11 and April 18, these Arians have a drive to act for humankind instead of themselves. They are interested in social issues, politics and are born leaders. They are pioneers who inspire others through the force of their personality. They implement others ideas and they understand the individual as well as the group mind. These Arians are idealistic but put things into action. They often lose sight of themselves and their desires as they pursue their goals. Sometimes they are at the mercy of manipulators and need to look, listen, and learn for everyone is not as they seem. They also need to ask someone if they need assistance before jumping in to help. The Ruling Planet of Aries is Mars - Energy Mars people are people of action. They are inclined to be suspicious or contemptuous of learning or mental activity – to the danger of not recognizing adversity. They are brave to the point of foolish recklessness, and can be lured into harm. Mars people speak their minds frankly and without reservation. They are trustworthy when they give their word. Mars people however can be relentless when seeking revenge. They are hard to reason with and they have violent tempers. Mars people are devoted to friends and loved ones but are fierce in their hates. Mars people may have violent, excessive passions that may repel people of finer sensibilities. Positive Mars Traits: Courage, determination, independent, energetic, self-reliant. Negative Mars Traits: Impulsive, stubborn, violent, boastful, offensive, cruel, destructive. The Element of Aries is Fire. Fire purifies as it burns and destroys the old so that the new may emerge. It is transmutation and regeneration. A person born under the influence of Fire is someone who is instinctively driven by passion and emotion, sometimes to the point where they cannot stop intense moments of uncontrollable passion. To expect them to behave differently would be like trying to stem the flow of an erupting volcano. They can harness their energy in positive ways by applying it to creative and challenging situations and inspiring others to action. They are often their own worst enemies as they are self-critical to the point of damage and need approval, understanding, and positive attention from those around them. Color: Red
