About KathleenInner Journeys' Dedication •  Articles/Press Releases HappeningsCustomer Comments  Messages from Archangel Michael

The idea for Inner Journeys was conceived in 2001, after the events of September 11, 2001. After a series of “Corporate America” jobs in customer service and accounting in Massachusetts, I finally decided to branch out on my own. I kept asking myself: “If you don’t do this, is this something you would regret the rest of my life?” The answer was a resounding YES.

I went to a “What is Your Soul Mission” class in Andover Massachusetts by a Certified Angel Therapy Practitioner in August 2003. The practitioner opened my 8th chakra above my head, which houses a person’s soul mission. At first, nothing happened. I went about my business for the next 12 hours. The next day was a different matter! I couldn’t stop writing down the details of a vision I had about opening up my own shop, which would later become Inner Journeys. I had always been the type of person who always had ideas about what to do with my life, so everyone around me did not take me seriously at first. Then I started to become aware of the signs from the Universe urging me on: “FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS” along side of a truck as I drove down the highway; my husband Steve and I selling our condo in Massachusetts for $5,000 more than we were asking in ONE day; being in charge of starting up my boss’ company which gave me the courage and strength to start my own business … you get the picture! After a long period of contemplation and research I decided that the time was right to open Inner Journeys. I just didn’t know where or how. I believed in the good, peaceful feelings that a person would get when going into spiritual stores so much, that it also kept driving me to open my own store. I was a customer of these stores too. I took note of things I liked about these stores, and what I didn’t like.

I had lived in Melbourne Florida from 1991 to 1994, and my in-laws have been in the community since 1987. Becoming tired of New England winters, Steve and I decided to make a move to Melbourne again. In the summer of 2004 I researched and drew up my business plan, looked for an ideal location, and dealt with 2 unwelcomed hurricanes Jean and Frances. Finally, with the awesome help and support of my sister-in-law Alison and long time friend Karen, Inner Journeys was born on January 3, 2005.

I was determined to create a place that would become a safe haven for Mind, Body, and Spirit; where the Mind and Body would be engaged and the Spirit soothed; a place where people involved in the arts of healing and spiritual communities could explore alternative ways of thinking and share with others, while providing high quality products and services in a friendly and safe atmosphere.

You will find gifts, books, music, and much more at Inner Journeys related to conscious living (MIND), personal growth (BODY), and spiritual awareness (SPIRIT).

Upon entering Inner Journeys, I hope you will feel a wonderful sense of well-being and peace. Every product has been carefully and lovingly chosen to fit a philosophy of spiritual awareness and healing.

I am a member of C.O.V.R. (Coalition of Visionary Resources), which is a trade association made up of a group of store owners from all over North America who share workshop and marketing ideas, and attend INATS (the International New Age Trade Show) in order to bring back the newest items in the new consciousness world.

Locally, I am an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in Cocoa Beach, and the C.L.P. (Conscious Living Partnership) in Melbourne. And more importantly, I am a proud member of the Melbourne spiritual community. I became a Second Degree Practitioner of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki in Massachusetts, which I am thrilled about, because it gives me a deeper understanding of the different modalities of physical and spiritual healing. I want to fully support the wonderful healers in Melbourne and beyond!

In the almost 2 years that I have been open, I am so touched by the wonderful feedback and support that I have gotten from the community. Inner Journeys is even more committed to the goals that I set out to attain. And my education continues as well – I am constantly learning from my customers and my co-workers. I have lovingly supported the Women’s Center in Melbourne in their tireless work to help the women and children in our community.

As always, I am open to what you would like to see more of! Life is GOOD!

We hope to see you around!

With Love, Light, and Gratitude,
Kathleen Pardy
